Hi Owlets! Wow it feels like it’s been some time since I posted. I have been busy with many events and busy with life in general. Having spent these summer nights up late and my skin being exposed to so much sun and heat, takes quite the toll on my skin. It can start to feel dull, dry, lifeless and just droopy (aww so sad). Living the nocturnal life can be tough! However, I went on a trip to the mall to seek some solutions.
During my shopping trip to the mall, I stopped by the store THE FACE SHOP – for those that don’t know, it is a cosmetic shop originally created in Korea that specializes in masks, skin care, makeup and body care to name a few. I love skin care products and facemasks and all that jazz – so, I decided I wanted to try some new face masks. I picked up three that I thought would be nice to try, the masks are from The Solution collection at THE FACE SHOP.
The first one I tried was the Firming Face Mask, it is formulated with collagen which helps with saggy skin – essentially helping with wrinkles and keeping the skin looking youthful. I washed my face and opened the packaging. The sheets of these masks are super thin, soft and light in weight; the smell is also subtle and pleasurable, not too strong. I placed it on my face for about 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes and rubbing the remaining essence into my skin to absorb, I felt this one made my face feel as though it was tightened and soft at the same time, even after a week, my skin felt firm and pretty.
The week after I tried the second mask, the Soothing Face Mask which contains BHA (beta hydroxy acid). This is an essence that contains the Black Willow Bark Extract (which is a naturally derived exfoliating ingredient) and Salicylic Acid that exfoliates and removes dead skin cells to reveal smooth skin. I have really dry skin, as I’m sure y’all already know from my previous posts, and so this mask was a great solution for taking off the dead and dry skin and leaving it exfoliated and toned.
Lastly, I tried the Radiance Face Mask which contains vitamin C and Niacinamide that adds a glow to dull, lackluster skin. As I mentioned, living the nocturnal life can be tough, not sleeping enough and being tired (I’m a busy person ok!) has been life for me recently. This mask made my skin and face feel awake and glowing.
All three face masks felt rejuvenating, radiant and refreshing (I made an alliteration!) when I tried them, I would definitely recommend getting them and trying them out for yourselves. They retail at $3.00 CAD each at Square One Mall in Mississauga and there’s always a sale when you buy more than one. I do face masks quite often and have received compliments on my skin, however, I think it’s important to also get enough sleep, sun screen and water to help with that. All skin types are different, be sure to speak to representative at the store if you know your skin is sensitive. Hope you enjoyed Owlets! If you’ve tried any of these, comment down below!
