I think it’s safe to say, I am a bit obsessed with the Rebels Refinery Capital Vices Skull lip balms! I was gifted with these beauties and I just love them. They are the coolest looking little skull heads – can’t help but to feel a little badass when holding one of these little guys. Rebels Refinery seems to cater more towards men’s hair and skin care, but hey! Lip balms can be for everyone!
About a month ago, I received a 3-Pack lip balm set that had three different “flavors” – 1 mint, 1 passion fruit and 1 vanilla and I gotta say they, they smell so nice, they are a perfect size and enough to last you a while. You can get them in black or neon pink and they’re so pretty in the most wicked way. The bottom of each of the balms is engraved with the quotation “Be all my sins remember’d” from Hamlet. Pretty badass right?
I love that they’ve used natural ingredients and they’re cruelty free! Whoop! Brownie points! Some of the ingredients I would like to highlight are: Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Beeswax, Canola Oil Soybean Oil, and Honey. All of these components are great for the skin – moisturizing and hydrating agents and man do I love it when it’s natural, I know I don’t have to worry about chemicals and synthetic crap that go into a lot of skin care products. Rebels Refinery prides themselves over that and I for one greatly appreciate it, if you’ve read most of my posts on skin care, my skin can be dry as hell, so a lot of retailer brands have chemicals or other crap I don’t know anything about, which irritate my skin.
Anyway, I tried all three and they left my lips soft as silk and feeling plump and hydrated. I don’t like balms that are too glossy or feel as though I’ve put on too much Vaseline. However, these lip balms feel as though they stay matte but don’t make your lips feel like they’ve dried out, they stay moisturized for a while, maybe until you’ve licked you lips or drank water or ate food and wiped your mouth that you’d have to apply some more again. Their ingredients really show through in their balms, but my favorite is the mint one, I like the minty menthol like feel on my lips – I like the tingly sensation.
A lot of Rebels Refinery’s products can be unisex but mostly catered to men, and men can have rough and tough skin, so men, check ‘em out. I have bought a few men’s products as gifts and they were received well and very much liked. Girls, I’m sure we can try all the other stuff as well if we wanted, so go right a head.
So that’s all owlets! Hope you get a chance to try these pretty (badass) balms and if you have, then let me know what you think!
